Written by Ricky Carroll

What a journey it's been for Jamal Lowe. He began his professional football journey at Barnet, where he saw limited game time. During his spell with Barnet - Jamal was loaned out to various clubs, with his best form shown in a short stint with Hayes and Yeading and a fruitful loan with St Albans. After the 2nd spell with St Albans, Jamal signed for Hampton and Richmond Borough, and this is where his career began to take off.

Jamal has operated as a number 9 or a direct goal scoring winger. Many Hampton fans view Lowe as the best player they've seen play at the Beveree. Throughout his career and especially in more recent seasons - Jamal has shown his ability to run with the ball when he picks it up on the wings. Jamal is a defender's worst nightmare. He's quick, skilful and direct. He is not afraid to pull the trigger when he gets a sniff of a goal. It doesn't matter where he is. If there's a way to score - he will pull the trigger! Jamal's work rate cannot go unmentioned. Many of his goals have come from his endeavours. At various clubs, his high work rate has seen him often chase down lost causes and force mistakes out of the opposition. Jamal's pace ensures he is an effective outlet against teams who play a high line - which often sees him springing the offside trap. Jamal had a rewarding spell at Porstmouth, where he developed a knack for scoring vital goals. Short stints followed with Wigan and Swansea. Jamals' form over a considerable number of seasons earned him a move to Championship team AFC Bournemouth. He joined the cherries on August 31st 2021. What a journey thus far for this Harrow born baller! The 2021-22 season has proven the most memorable for Jamal. He was a vital squad player appearing over 30 times for Bournemouth and scoring seven goals in their journey to automatic promotion to the Premier League. What a journey it's been for Jamal. In 7 years, he has gone from non-league to the Premier League. Jamal is a handful. He's quick, direct, skilful and has an eye for goal. When you watch him play - you can see how much he loves football. He can cause havoc as a number 9 or playing out wide. His journey is a fairy-tale - and now he has an opportunity to showcase his ability in the best league in the world!
